Today the devotion sharing is about Suffering. Problem always come to anyone no matter who he or she is, big or small, rich or poor, old or young, and so on….
*And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.** Romans 8:28*
Why do the righteous people like Job should lose everything? Isaac has learned to succumb to the Philistines who captured the wells that he have been dug, but why God looks like not helped him, so all the wells Isaac already dug repeatedly always taken by someone else? Why did God let Joseph that not treated well by his brothers? Why beautiful and wise woman like Abigail had to get a foolish husband like Nabal? Why do some Christians have martyred for his faith in Jesus?
Why do Christians suffer? Why our sickness did not go away? Why do we feel very broke every month? Is it God already promised to be the rock and refuge for us? But in fact we are still suffering. Where is God's promise? Our hearts more agitated when we saw the bad guy looks so lucky if compared to us. They seemed to get a lot of money and more successful than us, while we are even more dropped and are in the lowest point. Where is God's justice? Why do good people suffer?
This kind of questions maybe we ask when God allows suffering to come into our lives. That moment we are so easily tempted to doubt God's love and faithfulness. Our hearts rebelled. Does the Lord cannot help me? If He is able to help, why our circumstances still like this and not change? Did God leave us…..
When God allows suffering to come into our lives, believe that behind all of that there is a wonderful plan of God for us. What we need to do is believe that God is still working in all things for good for those who love Him. Do not rush to ask “where is the justice of God”, otherwise have a new perspective that our suffering will only bring us closer to His plan. The consolation news for us is we do not bear all of it by ourselves. God always gives us the strength that we are capable to bear all things with Him.
I remember last year when the plane we use to bring us back is about to take off, the weather is rainy and the sky was very dark that time. After our plane take off, we got several turbulence. But after 15-20 minutes the plane flying higher, we see the blue sky and beautiful sunlight… ~ Behind the leaden dark sky, hidden a glimmer of sun that ready to warms. 🙂
God bless you, have a wondrous day….
